i wanted to know if it was posible for a clown to have fry even if it is the only fish in the tank and it looked like it was the biggest one in the tank at my lfs and it has been in my tank for over 3 months. can she have fry in her and how can you tell. to me she looks fa t but it kood be that i feed her to much.LOL

Sorry, clownfish lay eggs that need to be fertilized at the time they are layed.

They are not like guppies or platies that can save sperm and give birth to live babies while being apart from males.

Your female could be full of eggs. Most likely she will reabsorb them.

There were reports here on RC, however, about single females actually laying eggs. Of course, without the presence of a male the eggs will not get fertilized. She will end up simply eating them or the eggs will disappear in a couple of days.

ok so then wutc can i do. you say to get a mate but im scared that they are going to get all teritorial and shet and and start to fight wit my other 2 fish. is this possible.
