Greetings,
I hooked up my ph probe calibrated with GHL 7 and then GHL 9 solutions, after the calibration was complete it said tank had ph of 7.55 - 7.60(30 mins after calibration was completed), which I though was way too low, as a matter of fact I never saw that low of a PH on any of my tanks before(I do not run any calcium reactor on this tank either, and windows have been open for 48 hours).
So I brought over my trusted recently calibrated Pinpoint monitor from upstairs tank, and that read 8.10, which I though was much more reasonable number and it is correct.
I repeated calibration with GHL provided probe 3 more times, and results were the same PH probe would sometimes read as low as 7.40. I decided there was something wrong with this probe.
So I decided to try pinpoint probe on GHL not knowing if it would work, and I calibrated it with GHL provided 7, and 9 solutions, and now my profilux reads 8.14(using pinpoint probe) which is very close to what pinpoint monitor was reading.
So as a very last test, I took the GHL provided probe and plugged that into pinpoint monitor and tried to calibrate it, I could not do it as readings were not changing enough for calibration.
So I think I received a faulty probe with my package, do you agree? If so do you do any kind of replacement on probes? How do I go about this, the package was purchased from Cherry corals.
Thank You
Cagri
