Is it safe to convert from sw to fw?

I have a 100 lbs of live rock in a 60 gallon and have been thinking of doing a fw tank. Is changing over feasible? Can I use the rock in a fw tank? If anyone can share experiences in doing this would appreciate the knowledge.

Your PH will always be elevated if you use live rock in a fresh water tank.

Definitely African cichlids only. Just make sure you dry out and clean the rock. This should work fine.

Agreed, African Cichlids would be the perfect match.

be prepared for an ammonia spike when everything that was in the live rock dies and decomposes. a good way to cycle the tank.
