Is it worth it to combine a 2700K bulb and 6500k for chaeto?

For the past few months I've been using the bulb from Melev's thread, but I was unable to find the 5100K. So instead I've had the 2700K bulb. Growth has been OK, but very slow. So today I went to HD and found a 19w sprial 6500k bulb. I bought that and mounted it over the fuge with a reflector. It's a very nice crisp white. Anyway, I figured the more light the better, so I also mounted the 2700k bulb next to it. So now I have two 19w (75w equivalent) over my fuge, but one is 6500k and one is 2700K. Does the increased light help, or is it better to just use the 6500K?

I think the increased wattage will be helpful. 40 watts still isn't a whole lot for Chaeto. I don't think the different color temperature will make a huge difference. There should be plenty of PAR in both bulbs.

IMO:
Well, best avoid those low color temperature bulb. They may encourage something else that undesired to grow.

2700K isn't natural to them.

Well the two fixtures are too much under my tank. They block my fan from blowing across the sump, so I can't cool the tank well.

How do you think this bad boy (5000K version) would work as a fuge bulb? Looks massive:
