Is my Anemone Retarded???

I have a Beautiful florescent Green Caribbean Anemone I purchased at a LFS.

I placed it at the same spot as my previous Caribbean Anemone that I had for almost 4 years.

I put some smaller rocks around him until he attached; he stayed there about 3 or 4 days and has been moving ever since.

He keeps moving into a cave between the rocks where he receives very little light and then keeps moving around inside the cave without attaching to anything for more than a day or so.

I’ve had him for 3 months and he seems to be healthy and my Water parameters are good.

My mated pair of Maroon Clowns keep chasing him around trying to host…


So… is my Anemone retarded??? :hmm4:

Nah it's not retarded, anemones don't have a hive mind thing going on where what works for one will work for the other. People with bubble tips will tell you that the splits will often walk about to a spot nowhere near where the original parent nem was.

Let it do it's thing for a few days, it could be acclimatising to your lights. If it's still hiding after a few days then there's something it's not liking be it flow, lighting or water parameters

Or possibly the clown fish are bothering it too much, beating it up if you will. maybe its not use to something hosting in it? The nem will move to try to get away from that abuse.
