Is my BK 160 too big?

Any help would be appreciated. I have a Bk 160 mini on a system with a total of 60 gallons. 40 gallon dt and 20 gallons in the sump. Primarily SPS with a medium bioload at this point. Will end up being a heavy bioload shortly though. System has been set up roughly two months. So far if I skim mildly wet it produces a deeper green skimmate, but not as nasty as I had hoped. Skimmer sits at a constant depth of 7 inches. Is this thing too big?

How long has this tank been set up? What kind of fish load do you have on the system?
