I never seen him like this. Yesterday he was hiding under the rock.. now suddenly he's out in the open. I know this normal.. but do his tentacles look normal? Almost looks like half are missing. The mouth is closed and he doesn't appear bleached at all.

(Note I edited the video a little so you can see the anemone better.. that's not how the lighting really looks.)

Was it all of a sudden that the tentacles were short? I have seen the tentacles do this while malnourished but have also had two that lost tentacle color and became "stubby" while all others in the tank were fine. In the latter case the nems recovered just fine. Has he been moving around a lot? Have you been feeding him?

He hasn't really be moving that much.. he did move out from hiding inbetween a rock into the open like this, but other than that he was staying put.

Feeding him is something I haven't been doing.. He mostly just got free floating mysis when feeding the entire tank.

If he was hiding in a rock than he was likely not getting enough light and was feeding on his tentacles for nutrition. Your lighting is strong enough and feeding is not required when in the presence of light but if he has been hiding for some time then it may take some time for him to recover.

Maybe the lights need dimmed a little bit. I heard too much light will affect them as well, but my corals never seemed to mind and are growing. I have the dimmers turned all the way up for both atinics and daylights.
