I got three candy canes, two not open up for couple days and one seem like dying. is there a way to save them? I placed them on the middle of the tank where they received most light and most flow compare to other live stock.

What are your basic water parameters ? can't really say anything unless you know them. but the third picture, I think they look fine unless I'm missing something

The third pic they look fine but how long have they been in your tank and parms play huge role too so knowing them will help

I tested them last week and they are fine. Nit=0, Amonia=0, PO4=0, Salinity=1.025. They are in my tank for three days. my next schedule for water change is this Sunday. Should I move them to difference spot/place?

I agree they look OK in photo #3. Trumpets (candy cane) polyps can temporarily shrivel up for many reasons, especially during an acclimation period. But they're hardy in my experience.

I feel they like moderate light is best, but can be acclimated slowly & will do fine higher up in stronger light, but I'd be cautious if your running 3W LEDs or MH.

As a stony coral, maintaining the proper levels of calcium, alkalinity & magnesium is very important, especially if you're counting on good growth. The polyps tend to be "plumper" in slightly higher levels of DOCs than might be found in, say, an SPS tank.

Moderate flow is important and targeted feedings are very beneficial and promote growth. Feeder tentacles tend to come out at night & are a sign of acclimation and good health. They are great mounted on vertical surfaces. Good luck.

Thank you Reef fog. i have 2 radion G1 over 120g (4x2x2) with 2 MP40 at 60% and 2 MP10 at 40% flow. I will keep monitor and try to target feed.

You're welcome. That's a powerful light you have. It will definitely scorch trumpets in the right (or wrong!) circumstance (like full power & high in the tank). You will probably need to use dimming or a final position in mid to lower tank for long term success, or maybe both.

Be observant & be quick to give them less light if they look to be struggling. I cant comment on specifics as I'm a T5HO user. BTW sometimes slightly less light will force the polyps to expand to a larger size which many people like. I imagine that might mean slower growth with all other things being equal, but that's just an educated guess on my part.

My LFS has a more dimly lit tank using old fashioned T8 bulbs, and the neon green trumpets are near the bottom and the polyps are huge, maybe twice the size of mine. But mine are a brighter color or at least look that way.
