I agree they look OK in photo #3. Trumpets (candy cane) polyps can temporarily shrivel up for many reasons, especially during an acclimation period. But they're hardy in my experience.
I feel they like moderate light is best, but can be acclimated slowly & will do fine higher up in stronger light, but I'd be cautious if your running 3W LEDs or MH.
As a stony coral, maintaining the proper levels of calcium, alkalinity & magnesium is very important, especially if you're counting on good growth. The polyps tend to be "plumper" in slightly higher levels of DOCs than might be found in, say, an SPS tank.
Moderate flow is important and targeted feedings are very beneficial and promote growth. Feeder tentacles tend to come out at night & are a sign of acclimation and good health. They are great mounted on vertical surfaces. Good luck.
