Is my carpet dying? (pics)

Time is Money
I just purchased these guys two days ago and on and off they keep doing this (see below pictures). I have a 46bow with a current usa 36" t5ho lighting with SG of 1.024. If other parameters are needed I'll get them. I've placed them on the bottom left side of the tank to give them stretching room. I dont have much flow on them yet till they get planted down but once they do I will. Any clue whats wrong? My guess is stress. Thanks

Assuming your water parameters are all up to par (e.g., temp. 78-82, specific gravity 1.025 or 1.026, ph 8.3-8.5, nitrates preferably undetectable, bright light), then my guess is the anemones are probably acclimating to the changes they've recently been through with the move. Make sure the parameters are up to snuff and allow the anemones time to settle in--can take a week or longer.

keep those parameters up to scratch, and as for the lighting it probably will be enough but carpets do a lot better under metal halides, What are your parameters?

IF all is in order then id say its just getting used to its new home, How long has your tank been set up?

get that guy off the rocks and into the sand and he'd probably be much happier!

I agree!!! Those guys live naturally in the sand. So I would get him down there stat. he'll be much happier.

There really not on the rocks only but on the tank walls, the rocks, and the sand. Take a look. Does anyone think that I have them to close?

If they wasn't happy theyd move

as long as they are firmly attached to something and eating well and sticky to the touch then they should be fine

My carpet was like that when I got home today after work 2 hours later it was fine still small and shriveled though. I just did a water change and now it looks like its expelling its stomach through its mouth, is this normal for the carpets?

This is not always a true fact, so i'd do exactly what i said and put them directly in the sand. Bury there foot in a hole or something. They will never be FULLY happy unless they are securely attached to something.... not three things at once. They live in the sand in their natural habitat, why wouldn't they in your tank?

Moved a few rocks away from them so now they both have a small rock and sand only for them to base on.

I was also wondering if the clowns host the carpets yet?

No they haven't hosted yet.

From what I've read the only thing that should be coming out of the mouth is their crap. Their mouth should also be puckered most of the time.(<-Not sure about that one)

Hey brandon where did you get your carpets at? Do they look any better, do they get better when the lights come on?

IMO it looks very cramped and stagnant.
There's barely enough room for one Haddon's let alone two in a 46 bow. Those anemones still aren't fully expanded.
Get water circulation going-
it's time to plug the powerhead in.
