Noticed this morning while the lights are off that my 2" crocea (argueably the coolest clam I've ever seen) was opened up but the mantle is retracted.
It looked great last night. Up until a few days ago it was solidly attached to a rock. I noticed the other morning that it had somehow detached and was now upside down wedged into the crevice it had previously been attached to.
It took a lot of gentle wiggling, but I got it out. It opened up, not fully) later that day. Next day it was fine. Now a couple days later it's retracted and the cleaner shrimp is picking at it.
I fed it DT's about once a week.
So, is it already gone or is there anything I can do? This is my father's day present from my wife, so not only is it my favorite clam but it has some meaning.
