i got a crocea clam and it was doing really good and really open for the first two days, now it opens up but i cant see its mouth and it only opens up fully at night. What could be the problem?

i have a 150 watt caralife hqi medal hallide and two 65 watt atinics, and for fish i have a bicolor angel( i've been watching about every second im home and havnt seen him nip at it) and a pair of clarki clown fish there are no corals near him either, my parameters seem stable ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate .5
ph 8
calcium 490( its alittle high)
i did move him up to the top, but he only opens a little bit more

i found some white spots after looking over the clam they seem to be chunks they look like it could be the angel, but im not sure and if it is should i get rid of the angel?

If the angel is picking on the clam, the only thing to keep the clam happy would be to remove the angel. Once the habit begins it is rarely broken. If you really want an angel in your reef tank, I would go for a captive bred in Hawaii Flame Angel. They are not cheap, usually about $75 for CR but they are the least likely to pick on clams and coral.
