Is my fish a goner? hurry!

Hes a yellow tang, and he came down with ich. I treated him with methylene green & formalin. He got a bacterial infection- Tail rot and the red streaks. He also stopped eating and hasn't eaten for days now. I got some maracyn 2 to treat him but it was for freshwater so I just upped the dosage by a third. He has gotten worse, and is laying on his side breathing. But when I touch him with the net or something to see if there is a response to stimulus he gets up and starts swimming around as best as he can, which is pretty good all things considered. But when I come back in a couple hours he is back on his side, so I decide to leave him there to conserve his energy, hoping that the treatment will make him feel p to eating. I have offered both seaweed salad, and mysis shrimp but he hasn't eaten anything. Maracyn 2 says that it will help fish that aren't eeating.

Formalin and malachite green combo is not an ideal treatment for ich...long term exposure to such toxins can cause serious damage , especially if you happened to overdose

I hope its not to late, I would start to lower the salinity, start hyposalinity treatment..if he still has red streaks, treat with an antibiotic [I like Furan-2] keep him in hypo for 4 weeks after the last spot disappears

Furan is my first choice, but the Maracyn 2 that you already have is also a good antibiotic. However for using the fresh water version, you want to double the dosage. The FW version is 10 mg per tablet and the SW version is 20 mg

Also be sure to check your water..Watch for ammonia. Do daily water changes, the Formalin probably killed any biological filtration in the tank

He has had no signs of ich since the treatment. No spots or anything. Just the streaks and the fin rot. He continues to lay on his side, I can tell that he is starving. But he hasn't given up. He still gets up when I touch him with the net, which again I don't want to do too often to conserve his energy. I am no longer treating ich. Just the maracyn 2, and thats because its all that I could find immediately. I feel like if I could get him to eat then he'd be ok, but he doesn't even move because I think that he is just too drained/starved.
