Is my jewel damsel injured?

My damsel had a while area on his forehead that seems to be getting bigger. It's hard to see in this picture, I'll try to get a better shot, but it looks almost as if he's scratched it against some rock? He's eating fine. Worried it's getting bigger though.

No, 2 banggai Cardinals and a fire fish. He's probably the most aggressive of all of them

Update, so I removed the carbon that I got from Amazon.com and the white spot appears to be going away. Literally, 2 days after I removed the carbon, the white spot is all but gone. Not sure what the carbon introduced, or removed that caused this? Any thoughts?

Carbon may not be a good thing with this fish. Other species may have difficulty with it. Or it could be coincidence, but I wouldn't risk it.
