i just set up a 38 gal innovative marine rimless tank and i have 2 lights they both have 15 1 watt leds in them 1 is 14k the other is 456 nm actinic blue innovative marine says each led puts out 120 lumens, the tank is 18 inches deep so do you think 2 lights is enough or should i add another 14k or will these lights never be enough i would like to have a clam in the sand ?

No. IMHO this will not be enough light. Even with a third one, it might be close depending on what type of coral you want.

It all depends on what type of corals your going to or planning on having... Low light corals like shrooms yes. SPS no, if I am correct I see you having one monti cap.

Defiantly not enough. Over my 48" 55gal I have 48x3W with different colors to get a more braud spectrum. So i have 144w and you have 30w. Maybe get us a full tank pic and that will help gauge how bright the tank is.

ok i just purchased this light i will slide it in the middle of the other 2,the 24 inch model has 16 3 watt led so i would think that would penetrate down to the bottom of the tank
