Is my new orange bta bleached?

So I just got her a couple days ago and I'm curious if she isn't as orange as she could be... Also I fed her last night a couple flakes of some homemade food, a friend makes it for me, and she threw it back up is she still to stressed to want to eat?

Any tips?

No, not bleached. Rose anemones come in a variety of different colors. Try feeding it smaller pieces of krill or mysis; I feed my BTA's once a week.

Do you have a photo of it looking orange? In your photo it doesn't look orange at all.

It looks a bit bleached to me. A white to tan BTA is lacking in pigmentation - they should have a bit more color that what yours seems to have.

What kind of lighting do you use? The color doesn't look right in the tank.
Anemones usually don't eat most flakes or pellets (although mine will eat spectrum pellets), has to be something with more of a meat "signature" for the tentecles to recognize it as food instead of just reacting to it being touched by something.

I have a coralife twin bulb 50/50 t5 light...

And I fed her a few more flakes last night and she didn't reject them so I think it was just stress... I'm going to go tonight and get some squid, clams, crab, and shrimp

Oh must be the pic then.I recomend small feedings up two or three times a week for ailing nems, but if its just small, once maybe twice a week feeding is more tham adequate as long as you have fish in the tank that you feed, especially if its hosting a clown.

Also do yourself a favor, when it comes time to swap out your bulbs, go with ATI bulbs. I recomend a blue plus to replace actinic, and aquablue special or equivalent. Color and growh from this bulbs are fantastic.

I'm actually buying a new light fixture this weekend for it! The fixture is recommended by a few people... However I will be sure to buy those bulbs regardless for this fixture
