Is my Ocellaris Clownfish sick or hurt?

hey guys, I noticed that my clown has an area on his right side about the size of a dime that looks like someone rubbed his scales in opposite direction and he has been trying to hide/host in a clump of hair algae instead of his usual spot at surface of tank in the corner where he has been hosting for 3 years, he is still eating fine, normal breathing and I know its hard to diagnose without pics but no abrasions just some scales that are sticking out instead of flat and lighter discoloration in that spot. I have had him for 3 years and I believe he is about 7 years old total, never has shown signs of sickness before. I was also thinking maybe he got hurt on live rock or accidentally too a body shot by puffer when she charges in at meal time. Other tank mates are purple tang and algae blenny. the clown fish is pretty aggressive at times I actually saw him bite the puffers tail and take a bit out of it as he was being territorial in his new spot, not the first time he has done that.

Without a picture hard to tell, but any skin or scale abrasions can be treated in your DT with Pimafix and Melafix. Google search them, one is for fighting infection and the other is for healing. You can use both at the same time and they're completely reef safe.
