In the last week my RBTA loks sick to me. It has always had skinny tentacles. although they do get fatter at night. But in the last week it's tentacles looked "dry". they are skinny and bumpy and have squiggly lines on them. I think it is eating. And it's mouth is closed. Is it sick?

I think maybe the shrimp have been stealing all his food. because I usually fed him mysis and they always try to come scavenge it.

He is very small. Only 2.5" wide. but I just fed him a whole krill and he ate the entire thing is now eating a second. But I have to hang out by the tank and fend off the shrimp with a stick the whole time. I have 8 shrimp and they are all agressive eaters.

You could try feeding your shrimp first. Then they may be less apt to try to take the nem's food.

Also, go slow with feeding. Some times they can spit it out later if it's too much. You'd never know this was happening unless you saw it take place. The shrimp would leave no evidence. And your nem is actually starving.

You're better off with a small feeding every two or three days until you see it start to improve. I would suggest silversides, too. A quarter to a half of one would be plenty.

I presume it gets plenty of light? BTA's rely on lighting too.
