Is Quickrete Quick Setting reef safe?

Most all cements are safe, some require longer curing times than others. To answer your question it is safe to use.

"Most are safe" meaning some are not. I just want to make sure mine is on the safe list for sure. Hugs. Thank you for the response.

I've used hydraulic cement without problem.

David, did you use the hydraulic cement in-tank with pre-existing water, critters, etc. or did you use it outside of tank, before set-up?

I'm just curious if it can be used underwater before it cures or if it needs to be used outside with dry air only???

Guys I am asking about this particular cement. Not hydraulic cement. Quick Setting 10-lb Gray Cement Mix

Make concrete repairs where rapid setting is required
Quick strength
Ideal for repairing broken edges of concrete steps and curbs
Has compressive strength and expansion characteristics similar to concrete

Sorry, MarineGirl. I didn't mean to side-track your thread. I recently used the Hydraulic version of what you're asking about, so I was curious as well.

I do not have an answer for you, but I am following along. My only concern is the product documents state that both contain 'Silicas'. Not sure about that either...

It's specifically made for wet applications, but I used it in my scape outside of my tank.
