I have a bottle of it but to be honest I have no idea if it really does anything. Is there really any benefit to soaking mysis & cyclopeeze in the stuff? I have a wide variety of fish, and I'm picking up six Bartlett Anthias.
It's probably beneficial (there's some debate on this); I believe it is, but I don't have objective evidence for that.
It's not necessary. There are lots of other supplements there, and there are plenty of people who don't use any at all.
It doesn't seem to be harmful.
Speaking as a personal trainer --alot of supplement companies come out with stuff all the time to take your money. All vitamins you need come from water and good food --works for fish too. If you want to take centrum to insure you have all you r vitamins and minerals and can afford it then go for it...same philosphy for fish. For me, no I dont use anything and this hobby can nickel and dime you to death. I read that most salt mixes have all the nutrients you need and just keep up w/ water changes to keep the vitamins coming --of course feed a variety of good foods

It works for fish too in their natural habitat where they eat their natural diet. In our fishtanks they do not get their natural diet so I disagree with your comparison to humans.
