just curious. i'm trying to direct feed my crocea clam with dt's. he's looking a little rough since the blue legs got to him. i took almost every one of those damn crabs out last night and he is doing much better. he is opened way up today. anyway, where should i squirt this stuff?

You should NEVER squirt anything at a clam.....they should never be fed. It will clog their gills, choke them, and kill them. When all the matter gets caught in the gills they can't breathe, etc.

Try a feeding bell, or put the clam in a small bowl with diluted phyto.

A lot of people do this for smaller clams (search for old threads on it) It allows them to filter the water at their leisure and not choke on the particles :)

What about squirting DT's from the top of the tank toward the clam's vicinity with the powerheads off? It makes a little green cloud around them. Is that bad? Or should I just keep adding DT's to the water column?
