Is the xti worth the extra $?

I had nothing but a crappy point and shoot and figured the extra $100 bucks was worth it. I went with the XTi and now I cant wait for it to come. I played around with both at Best Buy and definitely like the feel of the XTi. Admittedly the kit lens isnt spectacular on either, but the display is bigger and it has a few nicer features, one being the 10.1 MPs.
