Just curious as to how i went from about 35 post to 4 post?????


Im working on meeting the requirements to be able to sell my system, but it doesnt help to lose 31 post over night.

I'm just guessing, but if you just bumped posts or made posts like "Thanks" and "nice" to pad your count then they probably removed them from your count.

It is when you keep getting slapped for trying to sell stuff!

By the way, even with the 50 posts you still need to have an account older than 90 days to sell.
 
sometimes a "thanks" or "nice" is all that is needed. Its still a compliment or a gesture of appreciation. If there was 50 "bumps" then I see an issue but to take someones posts down for one word replies is rediculous

Some people just don't get it. This is exactly what the mods are trying to prevent you from doing. As mentioned previously, this site is for people in the hobby to get together and discuss reefing, not for people to post meaningless replies so they can have access to a market for selling. Craigslist and Ebay are available for that.

first i know he was wrong.But this is not called help we are here to help one each other we know what he did was wrong but we dont have to be mean we can just explan to him how the site works.I thought it was all about making more ppl join the site not scare them away or make fun of them.Don't get me in a wrong way i dont want to be mean.I been here for a couple month and i have goten alot of hel from you guys and i always say thank you.And i still need to learn allot more of reef's but if you guy's are just going to make fun of me for somthing stuped that i do.I think twice every time i post somthing new just for you guy's not to make fun of me .

PS. sorry for my writing im puertorican so my wrinting is not perfect lol. hope i didn't upset nobody :rollface:

Its a joke. If you were around very long you would know what I meant.

P.S. You could use spellcheck if you were really that worried about it.
 
Joey, in the past we've seen people get on here and get just enough posts to bombard the board with for sale threads and then once their stuff sells, they disappear. A while back we had a guy that used the TBRC forum as his personal online garage sale. We've also seen people posing as hobbyists that were really shills for commercial interests. RC is just trying to preserve the site for people actually in the hobby not just folks looking to make a quick sale. Anybody who is legitimately trying to use RC to gain more knowledge about reefing should be able to understand and abide by these few rules. 90 days and 50 meaningful posts is really nothing.
