Is there a way to keep jumping fish off the center brace??

Angel*Fish

cats and large squashes
I just lost my first fish ever due to jumping :sad1:

Beautiful little dispar anthias. Poor little guy. My canopy is enclosed, but I found him on the center brace. His mouth was open so wide trying to gasp for air. I could just cry -
I know this was preventable. If anybody knows a good way to keep the fish off the center brace, please share.

The only thing I can think of is using egg create.

I used (I should leave it on there, but I am stupid) it for the first couple
weeks I had my new fairy wrasse. I have a hood for my lights (2*175MH + 2*96PC) that sits right on the tank, no issues with it melting.

HTH

Edit -- sorry for the loss, I know that feeling too well.

If I understand the question right, I would make the center brace like a traingle, or maybe cut a piece of pvc pipe long ways and lay it on the center brace this way if the fish does land on it, it should slide off. Good luck
