All the photosynthetic gorgonian that I found in LFS are dull brown.

LMK if you know one that does not need to be fed and also has some colors - orange, red, purple, yellows...

Is there an on-line store that may stock this type of corals?

Baja Reef occasionally gets in some really nice Gorgs. I don't really feed mine from there much and they grow just fine.

Try Gulf Coast Ecosystems; they have purple gorgonians in stock right now:

I ordered a bunch of macros from them a few weeks back, and am really pleased with the quality, quantity, price & packaging. Great company!

Hey Tony -- use can also look for ones called "Eco-Gorgs" from AquaScapers/Coral Morphologic. I think Neptune gets them from time to time.

I have a bunch of gorgs... purple, goldens, yellows, etc... there is a nice variety of shapes, textures and colors imo... try kp aquatics (now called sealifeinc)... great stuff...

Here are a few of mine...

I have a knobby rod which has grown several inches over the past half year and an "orange tree" gorg that's grown a few cm since I bought it last month from there.

The orange tree sounds good. What color is the knobby rod ?
Can you post a picture of these corals ?
Thanks - I'll check them out.

Work hahaha..

I run a big skimmer, barebottom, GFO, cheato, weekly water changes, blow rocks off a couple times a week etc...

That said it's not perfect and has some algae here and there... thanks!
