Is there any way to get a clownfish to start living in an anemone? I have an anemone and a tomato clown in my tank at the moment. The anemone has been in the tank for around two weeks but the clown does not seem to take notice of the anemone or go anywhere near it most of the time. Is there something I can do to encourage the clown to use the anemone?

What type of anemone?

IME, time is the one thing that always works. It can take minutes, days, weeks, months, etc for a clown to be hosted by an anemone.

One thing that I would never suggest is forcing the clown into an anemone, you could end up with an eaten clown.

I've seen them take minutes and I've seen long time established tanks that never host. Personally I have 2 false percs and a RBTA and they've wanted nothing to do with it in the passed month or so.
