...and, are Squamosa clams suceptible to it?
I have a beautiful big Squamosa that I bought from a fellow reefer a couple of months ago. It's about 12" long, 10" across, and 8" tall. And now all of a sudden it is showing signs of PM
I did have this disease in my tank last summer. I got a new clam that had it, it died, then my 3 other clams all got it and died. I tried fresh water dips, iodine dips, running carbon...nothing worked. I left my tank free of clams for 6 months before trying again. And now, crap! I think it's happening again.
Can anyone tell me about squammie susceptibility to PM, and if there is any more info. on effective treatments than there was last summer?
Thanks....
oh, and as for new additions to the tank, my husband surprised me with a new fairy wrasse two days ago. It seems to be doing fine. I don't know if the PM organism could come in on a fish or how long it would take to get sick.
