is there such a thing as a dimmable halide ballast?

I am just a newb at this but im pretty sure Icecap has dimmable halide ballast and i belive there are a couple other brands as well

Iv been looking at the profilux and i will be running T5 vho's with two icecap 430 electronic dimmable will the profilux be able to control my two balast

i can understand the stability, but i would have to disagree with you on the demand side. many people still favor halides to t5s and im sure if this was made available, you would have buyers

another question. the dimmable 80 watt ballast i think says 220 volts. so are you telling me that i have to have a 220 outlet to plug this into?

Yes and no ref 220v

There are two options, the fixture will have a 110V to 220V built in step up transformer BUT the most efficient way is to have a 220V line put in, this is what I am having done for our 6x3x2.5 system which will be 80w 10 tube full dimmable
