Is there such a thing as species specific parasites or diseases?

I am loosing wrasse. A ruby head, Hawaiian cleaner and a pylie. Everything else is fine. They were the only wrasse in the tank.
Before I write a whole explanation, this is the short question.

I'm sure there probably is, however some fish are more resistant to some parasites others are less. As far as wrasses go I can't think of a parasite that there more prone to but they are kinda sensitive.

Like mentioned above wrasse aren't more prone to any one disease. They will not tolerate Chloroquine Phosphate though and always stop eating and eventually die if exposed to it, even in the short term.
