that is not agressive? one that won't really sting any nearby corals if it wanders? and when an anemone attaches to rock, is it hard to get off or is it there forever?

i just really want to try to get my clowns to host but i don't want an anemone to attach to a rock for fear that i won't be able to get it off when it comes time to take it out of my tank when it starts to outgrow my 20g.

All anemones have pretty powerful stings, well the clown hosting anemones do. When you say aggressive, you can imply multiple things. Some are aggressive in their stinging capabilities, some are aggressive just because of their massive size and others will release chemicles into the tank if they feel threatened by a certain species of coral or other anemone.

i know anemones are not starter livestock, but are there a good "starting" anemone? i really want to have a variety in my tank. i would love to try an anemone, but not sure of which to take on. i have seen bubble anemones, and i was told to stay away from condys, but i am just not sure which type is easier than the others, and is a clown hosting. BTA?

Definately the smarter choice. Your anemone's chances of surival are much greater in a bigger tank anyways. That said, when you do start out with anemone, I would start with a bubble tip. Anemones in general are difficult to care for long term but the BTA is the most forgiving out of all the clown hosting anemones.
