Is this a bubble tip anemone?

I just bought this and was told that it's a white bubble tip anemone. I've been looking at it and pictures online and I'm thinking this may be a condy. Can anyone help me out here?

It a Condylactus sp. Anemone. A very common Caribbean anemone that is not a host anemone to any of the clowns. (they all live in different oceans than the condy) It is, however, frequently found with a family of Pederson Shrimp living on/around.

And yes, it is very bleached.

billdogg is 100% right about the Condy not being a host to clowns. However, I did have a mated pair use a Condy for many years. It took them a good week or more of testing and getting acclimated to the Condy, but after that you would have thought the Condy and the clowns were best buds.

Wow $79 for that? Even if it was a bta, which its not, at best $10 because it would be on its way out..

Definitely a condilactis anemone. I'm glad you returned it and I hope the shop took note of their error. I used to work in some reef stores and it is a pet peeve when shops (willfully or ignorantly) deceive customers to gain a sale.

Even recently I talked to someone who was told a condy anemone was a good choice for their tank because his ocellaris clowns would host it.

On another note, the anemone looks healthy enough, condy are white in appearance often without being bleached.
