Is this a good idea?

I am thinking about buying a TZTS21 kit. My tank will be a 90 gallon with these dimensions: 36"x24"x24", my return from my sump will be approximately 900 GPH (I do not want any more flow than that to my sump), I will be keeping mostly SPS corals, with some nice LPS (micromussa's and similar) I think 4600 GPH will be fine. For another $120 or so I could get the TZTS24 and that would be 7250 GPH and with a SSB that might create a sand storm. The problem is adding another $120 in the long run won't be a huge deal, will I really regret this later, if I don't? Is the two year warranty standard? Can I buy up to say a five year? I was going to go with a closed loop, but I decided, I don't want that many holes drilled into the tank (more potential leaks) and I really think the Tunze will be easier to manage, with the controller it gives me options a closed loop can't. Also with a close loop, once the holes are drilled it is hard to change your mind later, with the Turbelles, I can move them around. The tank will be opened top (no canopy and a hanging pendant light). Please give me your thoughts on this.

The warranty is 2 years and no extended warranties are available. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects and for the most part such issues present themselves in the first few months. In general when a pump breaks you only need a part, so the typical repair cost after warranty is going to be under $40-$100. A TS21 is plenty for a 90 gallon tank. The only difference between a 6000 and 6100 stream is the transformer making it an easy upgrade later.

Thank you for answering my questions. So you feel that two 6000's are adequate for the 90? Currently what is the upgrade transformer price? I am hoping the controller gives plenty of wave options, is it just a matter of finding the combination I want, but adjusting the controller?

More than adequate- a 6000+ the transformer is the exact same price as buying a 6100. A textbook would be required to give every option on that controller. It can do quite a bit.
