(I just called the company and they said that it is not the US version). Also, B&H is out of stock.
The difference between US and Non-US versions is in the Warranty. Canon USA will not warranty your lens if something happens during the warranty period. They are usually a little less expensive for the import lenses, but not worth the hassle if it fails and it could have been covered...

No - you've got it backwards. If you live in the US and you buy the non-US version, you have no warranty. The reason for buying the US version is the get the warranty.
