Is this a Matted Filefish

What type of filefish do you think this is?

Yup looks just like mine.

Looks like a matted and my understanding is the males have the bristles. My bicolor angle likes to nip at them. FYI, my matted "aiptasia" filefish doesn't touch aiptasia.

Agree with above - definitely matted filefish. Jason2459 - how long have you had yours? It took ours about 3-4 weeks before they started eating them but then they mowed through them quickly.

I've had mine for at least a year now. He eats absolutely everything else like a pig. Algae sheets, NLS pellets, black worms, clams, mysis, etc.

It is also known by a few other names,like Sea Grass filefish.I have had mine 6 months and he ate my aptasia,within a few days.One of my favourite fish.
