this guy hitchhiked his way into my aquarium. i've never seen anything like it before, but it moved all the way around the rock it came on in less than 10 hours, which is what made me think anenome.
someone suggested it might be a Stichodactyla tapetum sp. mini carpet anenome. what do you think?

here's a picture: (it's the white thing next to the ricordea)

yes
& .......YES! :D

glad you asked?

glad you asked?

MCA's (and even Aiptasia) don't mix well with Ricordea.
Ricordea are deadly.
IME (and it's a lot!) Ricordea will win the battle.

really?! huh. i had no idea. well thanks for the tip. i would have thought that an anenome would win. well, that shows how much i know! :)
i'll move mean mr. ricordea somewhere else so he won't get in a fight with the cute little mca.

i gave it a squirt of frozen mysid (thawed, obviously) and it closed right up. now, if it starts multiplying itself is it hard to remove the offspring from the rock to move them somewhere?

thanks so much! glad there's a MCA guru here! :)
