Yep, looks like a nice one. I bought one like that they called it a hulk green because of how it glows under high K or actinic bulbs.

Undata? Really? I thought that originally when I picked it out at the LFS...

I wish I had a better camera so I could get a nice macro shot of it. The base is kind of a pale blue that turns almost teal on the edges (in the center) the outter growth rim is a darker version of the blue. The polyps are a soft red color. I'll keep this thread going and post some pics of it as it grows. What ever it ends up being I'm really pleased with it, besides I can't complain I only paid $9.95 for it.

Well I found a pic of the coral I picked up on Dr. Fosters and Smith. This is almost identical to what I got the other day.

I guess you Undata folks were correct!!

How do you come to that conclusion?
Here is my Undata:

Here is my Confusa:
confusa.jpg

There are several growth forms of udata other than the so called true undata, Cofusa is so named, to my understanding because it grows in a confused way... it branches plates and encrusts. The coral pictured above is no doubt an encrusting coral, Although some undata species plate. One example is the so called Idaho Grape which is an undata. I am not sure this is an undata, but I am pretty sure it is not confusa. I reserve the right to be proven wrong, and welcome your supporting documentation to that end.
:)

Well I can say that I am Confusa about which coral it is...whether it is undata or confusa I like it. Again maybe when it has grown a little more it will be easier to tell for sure what it is...
