Is this a montipora?

I bought this thinking it was an encrusting gorgonian but what is it?

Whatever it is what is a simple care guide. Currently it is at the top of my rock structure in the middle in my 20 gallon high under two 24 watt t5 ho, one actinic and one 12k coralife daylight lamp. It gets direct flow from a 150 gph powerhead(max gph is 300 gph) will it be ok? I posted this in "new to the hobby" but thought i would get as much opinions as possible.

Forgot to mention, the whote spot have opened up turning into polyps and under both lights the coral is purple.

kinda looks like a blue ridge coral

If it looks like this and has a blue skeleton, then heliopora aka Blue ridge.

If it is soft, with long polyps i would guess Erythropodium caribaeorum.

Are you sure? To me the blue ridge are sort of branching coral. This one is an encrusting coral. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow with polyps open

To me it looks like a skin polyp or hair polyp. So probably a softie.
