That is a monti eating nudi and not the zoanthids predator, but just as devastating for montis and difficult to get rid of. Manual removal of nudis and eggs is best and move all your Montis to quarantine if possible. There is also a thread on Potassium Permanganate in the SPS forum that has been used as a dip. Supposedly it will kill eggs and nudis. Good luck

Im not sure tht is amonti eating nudi. it doesnt appear to have the barbed type ends on its appendages, and it appears to be bigger than any monti eating nudi ive ever seen.

It surely is a nudi though, heres what my lovely monti eating nudis look like. These pics are of about as big as ive ever seen monti eating nudis, and by looking at the polyps on the monti you can tell how small they are

menta- a wrasse of any kind will not get rid of them. they can keep them at bay though. You need to manually remove and get rid of the eggs to break the life cycle

If you corals can be removed from the tank you can dip them in the potassium permanganate. Ideally you would then want to quarantine them in a seperate tank if possible because some may remain in the display until they starve. If you don't have a seperate quarantine, just check the colonies often and dip until you stop finding them and hope for the best.

All montiporas are dead.

what dosage did you go with?? How fast did the coral die out of curiousity?? was it obvious and quick or did it take a few days?

Im just curious.......I almost wish I had the nudis again so I could play with that stuff.....

I tried 50mg/L for 1 hour.
The green plate montipora got all white after 3-4 days.
1 brown Digitata is somehow ok, getting polyps out on part of it, also a pink digitata is starting to polyp on its base.
