Is This Brown Jelly Disease?

Hi All,

Over the past couple weeks, I've been losing Euphyllia heads. My corals are all still fairly small frags...I've lost a total of 6 heads. I've now seen this brown fuzzy stuff on my Favia and both Pavonas (pics attached). Unfortunately the pics don't do justice but this brown fuzzy stuff comes off the coral a bit and sways in the flow. I've also noticed my green tipped hairy mushroom has closed up substantially and looks more brown in the middle with some white stuff on it...couldn't get a decent pic of that unfortunately.

Do you think this is brown jelly disease? If so, what can I do to eradicate?

Ps. It doesn't look like jelly but more fuzzy. However, I can't explain why I lost so many euphyllia heads...I didn't really look closely for any brown jelly since I didn't know about it at that point. They basically just started closing up and then eventually the entire head was just the skeleton.

I can't tell from the pic on my phone, but brown jelly does often look more like a fuzz. Then when the flesh is all dead it's a brown goop left behind. If you have it you don't want to waste any time. Sometimes aggressively trimming the infected parts (basically cutting off every head that has fuzz) combined with a dip in diluted lugols iodine, can slow the infection enough for the coral to heal.

Another thing to keep in mind is angry mushrooms can release a fairly potent toxin into the water. Running carbon will help on that end.
