Picked this guy up maybe 3 weeks ago. He seems to have grown quite a bit, and his stalk has definitely stretched by quite a few inches.. I believe he is a bubble tip, but his tips aren't very bubbly. He located this spot on his own and has stayed there since. Sometimes he folds in on himself at night and it looks kind of freaky, but this is my first one, so I'm not sure!

I'd say he is about 4" tall in the photo. The other troubling thing is his tentacles seem to go around his circumference, leaving the center white. I can't tell if his mouth is open but I dont' think so.

Thanks!

4 x 24w T5. 24", aquarium is a 29 gallon. 2 are actinics, the other 2 are 10000K I believe. He moved to the back and sort of into a shadow of sorts.

Well, I am not an expert on any anemones other than maxi, but it looks bleached. Is that the color it was when you started?
Is it just white or is there a green tint?

I'd say there is a definite green tint on his tentacles. Definitely didn't show up in the picture though did it. :D Shows up a lot more at night. The lights might be bleaching it out for the picture or some such. I'm curious about hsi general shape. He definitely didn't have such a long stalk until very recently. And sometimes at night his tentacles get folded into himself.. He looks like, err, a foreskin. :D But tonight he's out in full bloom it seems.

Some time anemones will fold in on them selves (eats, night, disturbed). It's normal, the color does seem a little light but that may just b the pic. If it's mouth isn't open all the time and it's eating krill then u should b good.

Yeah, it looks healthy, just a little bleached. FYI, when we talk about bleached, we mean the anemone has lost some of it's internal color, causing it to look "washed out" or "bleached". Your anemone should have a dull brown coloration in certain places, like around the mouth. If it is white or very light tan, it may bleached as suggested earlier.
