Is this normal color(s) for a zoa?

I "rescued" these from a guys tank that he let go for about a year. The zoas were not open what so ever for quite a long time apparently. Dipped in coral rx and swarms of stuff came flying out of it. Couple hours in my tank and they all started slowly opening. (This is about a week later)

My question(s):
1. Have these lost color?
2. How long before they're fully healthy?
3. If they did lose color, can they regain it?

Advice?

Impossible to know if they lost color, once probably no one of us here saw them before. I hope you agree with that. :D

2. How long before they're fully healthy?
Another impossible answer. No one knows. Too many variables there...

3. If they did lose color, can they regain it?
Certainly, yes.

Just let them rest and recover.
Make sure the params are good and the system has a stability and good maintenance schedule.

If you wish to post your water parameters here, people could help you out with that. Lights? Skimmer?...

Grandis.

I have seen this particular zoanthid many many times in LFS and that is their normal color. Your polyps are maybe a shade or two lighter, but that could be due to prolonged retraction thus not receiving any light, or due to your current lighting conditions. They will eventually color up for you if you provide the proper conditions for them to do so. I too have rescued many frags and mother colonies from LFS with about a 95% success rate of saving them. Good luck my friend.
