Water change every Friday with rodi 20g
Foxface lo, flame hawkish, yellow wrase, sps and Lps

I recently went lights out for 3 days accompanied with some aggressive water changes before and after. Followed by a sump upgrade in which I replaced 15 gallons and added 30 gallons of sw. And i reduced photo period from 10 to 7 hrs. All the algae is gone except for the BA QUESTION 1 does ba thrive in a low nutrient environment? Question2 why are my corals pail, favia is closed up, euphylla closed pacillapora pale ect. Could this be shock from light or maybe too much happening at once? ALL OF this took place in the same week and I was completed last weekend.

QUESTION 1; Yes their nutrition requirements are very similar to corals. So starving them out without stresing the corals is very hard.

QUESTION 2; Most likely because you starved the tank too much of nutrition (and light). Reducing alk to 7-8dKH range might help.

Thats the problem how do i tell if they are really 0, i have cheato in my sump that doesent grow much and the only algae i have is a bit of ba, new test kits?
