Is this sps safe

Well turned the light on and this was on the sand ..is it safe ? should i toss him? seems to big to benefit the tank at 14 plus inches.

It's a enucid worm not reef safe...............coral eater. I think mostly zoas, rics, ect.

long pincers those long grabber things forceps type, saw it at lights out on the sand grabbed the pincers and dove in man it was nasty moves fast all those legs want to get a shot of the face that is awesome like the Predator monster from the movies four mandibles and large mouth looks deadly better get the macro lens out hope he doesn't stretch fast and stick to my head or neck and burrow under my skin lol ...

how do things like that get introduced into the aquarium? Live rock?

Tiny worm + food = big worms. Definately not a reef safe worm but somebody would probably love to have it.

That would not be a good thing to release into the wild and generally most people say not to release anything captive.

A LFS here in MI used to have one on display just so people could see it. I'd see if anyone wants it because I have heard of people making species tanks for the things. Maybe even a LFS would take it for a display like in the past.
