I've had this frag for a little over a week. Purchased 7/22/06, mounted 7/23 and have noticed it bleaching on the bottom. Is this STN?

I think what you are seeing is some stress from mounting. The polyps are out in the final pic and that is a good sign. Keep an eye on it.

great! how fast do they spread to other acros in the tank? I have this 30 gallon plumbed to a 75 through a shared sump. I can easily sepparate the 30 with no problem.

I would just take it out and treat it with interceptor, if it is the only acro in that tank, they may not have spread yet.

but i dont' see any on the second pic, so they might have been in your system already, i would check your other acros.

has anyone done a study on how fast they spread? I'm wondering if this frag had bugs and I put the frag in a week ago, would the bugs have migrated to other acros in my 30, what about my 75?
I'll give all my acros a good looking over tonight before reaching out for some interceptor. Not looking forward to that at all.

Seperate the tanks!

I put infested frags in my tank and pulled them out less than 24 hrs after going in. These frags went into a 3 weeks QT. The main tank STILL got bugs. They move quickly but I think you have a chance for the 75g.. Good Luck.

Wow. I missed them too. Dang. Now that Kip pointed them out I think I do see a couple on the 7/28 pic. Still it had been in your tank 5 days at that point so hard to say where they came from.

U guys realy believe that the RED BUGS is the culprit. Man think again

10 yrs. living w/ red bugs.
I never lost any acros. due to RB
I lost many coz of AEFW
