Is this the correct ID?

So I found this guy in the tank this evening after finding 1/3 of my blue milli has been munched in the last 24 hours. Since none of the other corals in the tank are showing any signs of problems, and params are where they should be, I'm hoping I've caught my acro muncher. Here's a couple pics:

It looks like a fireworm to me.... but I didn't think they were predatory towards corals until I found this tidbit on thekrib:

"Hermodice carunculata can feed on living corals. It will engulf the
last few centimeters of the tip of a branching coral, such as
Acropora cervicornis (staghorn coral), in its inflated pharynx and
remove the coral tissue from that portion of the skeleton. "

Is this indeed what probably happened?

looks like a standard bristle worm to me.
fireworms are usually appear much more fuzzy, especially when you poke them. and you can't see inside a fireworm like you can a bristle worm.

this is Hermodice carunculata

That picture you posted looks exactly like it when it's ticked off. It's body is greenish with the bands across it, and the "bristles" are retracted in the photos, but when I was pulling it out of the rock, they were puffy like the ones in that picture.

Is there anybody that wants this thing? I really hate to just kill it.... but it certainly isn't going back in my reef.
