So I've had ich in the tank for about 2 1/2 weeks. It came in with my new Sailfin tang. I put him in a 40 breeder to see how he does. Didn't want him in the big tank yet. The breeder has been home to my maroon clown for just over 2 years. So the spots come and go on the tang. Has has had none the last 48 hrs. I know everyone talks Hyposalinity, copper, garlic, yadda, yadda, yadda. I Have done none of this. So isn't it about time the clown starts showing signs of ich? They both eat like horses and are fatter than crap.

The tricky thing about ich is it doesn't always show up under the skin. Sometimes it can harbor just in the gills, out of sight. The tang would be more likely to show symptoms, as tangs have thin mucous coats. Clownfish have thicker mucous coats, so their skin is better protected.
