As I mentioned during the auction yesterday, PROP is looking for a few experienced reef keepers with established systems to help us farm new frags.
Here's how it works. If you wish to become a PROP farmer, P.M. me or Jason Frick. We'll take a look at your system to ensure that it is sufficient to grow corals. Basically, you need good H2O chemistry, proper lighting and flow and preferably a tank that has been established for at least six months.
If you are selected, you get some very choice benefits. First, you get to back up some of the really cool PROP corals. The only commitment you have to make is that when they are ready for fragging, you bring them to the auction. Second, and the coolest benefit, is that you get to help us choose and buy high end frags. We aren't afraid of taking shots at growing out very expensive corals. That's the purpose of PROP. Buy expensive corals, grow them out, and then sell them at auction at prices us mere mortals can afford.
Also, don't worry about killing a frag. We've all done so multiple times. It's part of the hobby.
