ISO: used carbon

Odd request I know but I am working on a project or I need to use carbon or some other burnable material to make clay more porous. So if anyone has any carbon that is not broken down into tiny pieces and if you would be willing to just throw that in a Wal-Mart sack for me to pick up some time I'd appreciate it. Even bigger pieces of wood chips would work as well. Don't want to get into full-blown mulch size. Well, maybe I can add a little bit for texture.
