Sorry to bump an old thread but I'm just starting to attempt to culture this.
So far I've tried using the FAF algae disks (tried twice, didn't work) and then bought a culture from another person who had it going.
Why do people say ISO is so hard? What exactly do I need to watch for? etc.
So far with the culture I got, I doubled the water volume and put an airline to it, just like I did with my Nanno, is this wrong?
Also, how dark should it be before I split it? And people talk about having backup cultures that don't have an airline to them, how should I set these up?
