isolation of phyto through high salinity

I lent my Plankton Culture Manual by Hoff and Snell to a friend, so I can't find the part in the microalgae section where they say one species can be isolated by raising salinity until the others die off. Does anyone know which species this is? I don't mean Dunaliella salina or the Nitschia salina, but one of the common aquacultured varieties.

Thanks in advance.

Tetraselmis tolerates higher salinty (up to around 50- 60 ppt) than Isochyrsus. So if that's mix you have, you can seperate them based on salinity tolerance.

Many thanks Bill. I will isolate Tet by slowly raising salinity. Otherwise Nanno would probably soon take over the culture. Have you worked in an aquaculture facility, or are you just well versed in phyto culture?
